History Ktm

KTM (Kronreif & Trunkenpolz Mattighofen) is an Austrian company founded in 1934. KTM was originally a repair shop founded by Hans Trunkenpolz in Mattighofen. In 1951, the company began producing motorcycles and was officially registered as KTM in 1953.

From the very beginning, KTM focused on producing motorcycles for off-road racing. In the 1970s and 1980s, the brand became widely known for its success in international motocross and enduro competitions. This allowed KTM to gain a reputation as one of the leading manufacturers of motorcycles for extreme conditions.
